It is suitablr for less demanding applications. Anyway, RP graphite electrodes are superior in price, it is cost-saving.

 

Application

Graphite electrodes are a critical raw material in industries with high-temperature processes like metal refining and steelmaking, due to its excellent electrical conductivity and high temperature resistance.
1.Electric Arc Furnace
By conducting electrical current from the power transformer, graphite electrodes create electric arc with temperature reaching 3000°C.
The electric arc melts steel scrap to liquid steel. You can control the temperature in the furnace by adjusting the electrical current flow through the graphite electrodes.

2. Mineral Arc Furnace
Graphic electrodes can also smelt a variety of minerals and ores into refined minerals or ferroalloys, like ferro-silicon, ferro-manganese and ferro-chrome. You can get them through the reduction of mixing iron ores and manganese, silicon or chromium.

3. Ladle Furnace
Ladle furnaces are designed to refine and treat molten steel at a right temperature prior to casting. By immersing in the liquid steel and generating continuing heat,the graphite electrodes keep the temperatre in a desired range, so as to make enough time for molten steel treatment.
