What's the difference among RP, HP and UHP graphite electrodes?
Raw material:
RP graphite electrodes are made of 100% petroleum coke, HP electrodes are 70% petroleum coke and 30% needle coke, UHP electrodes use 100% high quality needle coke.
Procution period:
RP and HP needs about 50 days, and UHP graphite electrodes needs 65 days at least.
Properties:
According to their performance in practice, UHP ranks the first, followed by HP, and finally RP.

Guide for graphite electrodes storage:
1.The electrodes should be put in a clean and dry place, do not remove the packaging material before use, as it prevents the dusts and debris from dropping onto the surface of electrodes or nipple sockets.
2.The electrodes stored in open area must be covered with a rain-proof tarpaulin.
3.The electrodes could be stacked up to 2.8 meters, ensuring the safety.
4.The temperature of the place where the electrodes are stored should not be too high to avoid the melting of the nipple bolts made of asphalt.
