Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC)

Introduction

Calcined Petroleum Coke, normally abbreviated as CPC, is made from low-sulfur petroleum coke in a calciner at a high temperature of 1300°C to removing impurities such as moisture, ash and volatiles from the petroleum coke. Black or dark gray in appearance, with metallic gloss and porosity.

Application

Used as carbon additives or carbon raiser to improve carbon content in steel making sector.

Used in carbon anode materials for aluminum electrolysis
