Low sulfur CPC(calcined petroleum coke), a kind of raw material used for graphite electrodes production, the price has increased up to CNY 6000 per ton after the Chinese New Year, due to strong demand from steel plants and aluminium plants, which has driven up the price of low-sulfur petroleum coke. On the other hand, inventory is at low level.
It is predicted that in the next two months, as the Chinese economy rebounds, the demand from the end users will continue to increase. It is expected that the price of low-sulfur coke will continue to rise by approximately CNY 200 to 500 per ton.
