Domestic graphite electrode prices have generally risen after China National Day holiday due to following factors:
Ø As raw material, petroleum coke continues to rise, with an increase of 25% compared to pre-holiday.
Ø China governments strengthen dual control of energy consumption, power rationing measurements in many provinces.
Ø With the continuous increase in the output of lithium battery anode materials for new energy vehicles, the graphitization capacity originally used for the production of graphite electrodes is becoming less and less.
Ø As the Winter Olympics is approaching, some graphitization production capacity around Beijing will be temporarily closed.
The above facts will lead to a tightening of the supply side, coupled with rising raw material costs, most people believe that the price of graphite electrodes will continue to rise in near future.
