UHP electrode is our key product. This product selects 100% high quality needle coke as raw materials, through forming, roasting, macerating, graphitization and mechanical processing to finished graphite electrodes.
During all processing stages, the graphitization is the most important process. It refers to the high-temperature heat treatment in which carbon products are heated to more than 2300 ℃ in the protective medium in a high-temperature electric furnace, so as to transform amorphous and disorderly layer structure carbon into three-dimensional ordered lithography structure.
After graphitization, the graphite elctrodes stucture has changed completely, which result to better performace, such as the lower electric resistance, less impurity, better strength.
Generally speaking, UHP graphite electrodes are used specially for steelmaking in big electric arc furnaces, it requires lower consumption, better thermal shock resistance and better checmical stability.
